There are lot of disinformation or misunderstandings about Wahga crossing with e-Visa of India

  • If you first entered India by air on e-Visa then there is no issue with re-entry to India from Wahga border on same visa – your passport is entry stamped and already in computer system
  • Suppose you first entered Pakistan on e-Visa but you entered India some time ago on same visa and your passport is showing entry stamp then you can enter via Wahga border to India without any problem.
  • If you have sticker visa of India on passport or OIC card then you can re-enter India via Wahga border without any problem.
  • But you first entered Pakistan and you got Indian e-Visa and never got entry stamp of Indian entry port on your passport then then you need to take flight via Dubai etc and then enter India.
  • This is because of no machine-readable software installed at Indian immigration counters at Wahga.
  • However, there is no any issue from Pakistan immigration side whether you have e-Visa, sticker visa or OIC card – it is more concern of India immigration at other end
  • In case of Indian passport, It is advised to get police registered at any city within Pakistan (subject to government advise)
