Explore Your Roots Where You Come From

The management of Sikh Heritage Tours is also proud to initiate the project: “Explore Your Roots” that aims to encourage exploration of the areas of ancestral origin. Our YouTube channel with the name of “Nankana Sahib Yatra Tours” is instrumental to show you your family roots. The management of the Sikh Heritage Tours is pleased to offer these services on actual cost – however there will be some support available by Sikh Heritage Tours in bringing you to your ancestral places. We would really appreciate your support in clicking subscribers’ button on our YouTube channel. Therefore, your subscription of the channel will help spread the word and encourage others to also explore their roots from the areas of their families’ origins.

Yatra for Everyone

Our vision is to bring more and more yatrees to Pakistan that will increase volume and ultimately, we will be able to pass on these benefits to yatrees. So, we will look more on supplier’s pocket rather than yatree’s pocket. However, offering low-cost yatra packages does not mean that we compromise on quality of services rather we go for more improvements with the passage of time. We emphasize more on shifting focus from routine yatra around Lahore to some other regions of Punjab such as Northern and southern regions of Punjab. Therefore, we seek yatrees support to make this project successful. We are pleased to announce two guaranteed yatra departures every month. We will give 5-star hotels in 4- star price to make yatra for everyone to afford.

Tilla Jogian - Reclaiming Lost Heritage

Tilla Jogian literally means the hill of saints or hill of Yogis. It is said that Yoga tradition started from here. It is located at 975 meters (3200ft) above sea level. It is about 15 km to the west of historical fort of Rohtas Fort (Dina, Jhelum) and from two historical Gurdwaras, one in the premises of Rohtas Fort (Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur Jee and other is outside of the fort (Gurdwara Choha Sahib Jee – Pehli Badshahi) that makes the region one of the top attractions for religious tourism. From its height of 3200 feet, you can see a panoramic view unparalleled in Pakistan, at least best one can have in Punjab. For thousands of years it was a place of Sun Worship for the Hindus because the Sun can be seen here earlier and sets here later due to its height. So it became worship place not only for Hindus but also for Sikhs and later on for Muslim Jogis. Tradition holds that Tilla Jogian was founded 100 B.C. Tilla Jogian.

Southern Trail - Reclaiming Lost Heritage

South of Pakistan is not much known to yatrees whereas it is full of rich history and abandoned heritage sites like Baba Bhullay Shah and many other Gurdwaras of Pehli Badshahi. We have started taking yatrees on the footsteps of Guru Nanak Badshah, doing darshan yatra of Gurdwara Sri Chota Nanakiana Sahib at Depalpur (used to be capital of Punjab). Then we go to Pak Pattan to pay homage to Darbar Hazrat Baba Farid Shakarganj. At Pak Pattan there is also Gurdwara Tibba Nanaksar Sahib where Shlok of Baba Farid were handed over to Guru Nanak. Walking on Gurus trail we reach Gurdwara Nanaksar where Guru Nanak stayed right in front of Harappa site (the oldest settlement of Indus Civilization). We explore Harappa culture and take this opportunity to research why Guru Nanak stayed there. Continuing on the footsteps of Guru Nanak we reach Gurdwara Tulamba Sahib Jee (then Haveli Sajjan Thag).

Chairman’s Message

Dear Yatrees Sat Sri Akaal and “Jee Ayan Noon”

It is my privilege to write to you once again on yatra segment. Since last 40 years I am involved in tourism industry of Pakistan and during this period I have worked in different positions, from tour guide to management. For last fifteen years, I have been entrusted with the responsibility to serve the Sikh Community. Since centuries the yatra to Nankana Sahib Jee and other historical places has been part of religious practice but I feel pride in claiming that I was instrumental to launch proper website on Sikh tourism that is based on bringing some new Gurdwaras on yatra map.I never entered into yatra tours organizing as business rather as passion to Serve the community but now I must admit that it has been turned into full-fledge business. My role as entrepreneur I strive to have impeccable character, and live by the highest standards of integrity, thus inspiring trust from others.
